Hate

Do you ask, “How can a man master his temper?” In reply, my brethren, I must ask, how can a man go to heaven if he does not? I was reading 1 John 2:9-11
9 He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. 10 He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. 11 But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
You see people full of hatred towards their fellow man and it makes you sick. . They kill,steal,fight,lie,and do all kinds of hateful things to people and not think anything is wrong with it.How people can hate each other that much but the next day talk about all the good things they are doing. Wait a minute, you think I am talking about the bad parts of town. Maybe some other city or country came across your mind? Those are some places to but I am talking about church. Jesus said whoever hates his brother is guilty of murder. Jesus, as he was dying on the cross, told his father to forgive the ones that had nailed him up there. We Christians get mad if someone said something about us or did something we didn't like or just hurt our feelings. Come on people, are we Christians or are we the world? Anybody can forgive a friend but if you can forgive your worst enemy, that is a sign of a true Christian. Instead of getting mad when someone does me wrong I usually get disappointed more than anything. Because I think of how Christ sees us all when we treat each other the way we do.

Find someone who you have had a problem with and apologize to them for being angry at them. I did not say if they were at fault or not. Remember as long as you are mad at someone you hold anger in your heart. Jesus didn't say forgive them if they do something for you first. It is hard for people to be mad at you if you only say good things about them.

He saved me , he didn't have to, remember that when it comes to forgiving others. May The light of Christ shine brightly from you, always.

To Far

If you are walking with Jesus, in the Spirit, you need not fear going to far. No believer has gone as far as God wants him to go."-A.A. AllenThis is a very good point. Can we do too much for the kingdom of our Lord, I think not. I don't think the Lord will say to me one day; Dustin, you read your Bible too much, you prayed too much, you helped too many people, you shared your faith with to many people. I do none of these things to get into Heaven, because that would be a work based belief. But I do these things to glorify the one that saved me, my Lord and Savior Jesus ChristJehovah witnesses have to witness to so many people a day and do other things to get into heaven. They have a quota to make. I have a quota on how many people I should witness to, everyone I meet. Not to get into heaven,because that is by the grace of God, but to share the love of Christ that they may come to repent and believe in Christ.Paul said we are to share our faith in season and out of season. That means all the time. Remember, you are a Christian 24/7, not just 30 minutes on Sunday morning!

Pride

Pride None have more pride than those who dream that they have none. We as Christians need to be careful of how we treat our fellow man. I know I have been guilty of this myself. As we grow in our faith we tend to overlook others that are not growing as fast as us. We think everyone should be at the same place in their walk with the Lord as we are. But remember, it was not that long ago that you were at that point in your life. The fact is there are others that will always be at a higher point than you in their walk but we do not judge our walk with the Lord by others. We are to look at ourselves and say, am I stronger in the faith than I was last year, am I growing in the faith every day? Putting someone else down is not the way to build them up. We are to give them the true gospel and let the Lord do his work in their lives. We are to help our fellow man walk in the ways of the Lord. Go serve your King,

The Week Man

"He is not seeking a powerful people to represent him. Rather, He looks for all those who are week, foolish, despised, and written off: and he inhabits them with his own strength."-Graham CookeI think of myself when I look at this quote. I had always found an excuse not do the Lord's work. But I ran out of excuses and said, not my will but your will be done. Each and every one of us can be a powerful tool for the Lord. Pray that He will show you what He is wanting you to do, then do it. Also, help your fellow Christians to find there way out of their comfort zone. Don't look down on people that are not at the point in their walk with Christ that you are, remember, you was there not to long ago. When you see someone who is foolish, despised, and written off, remember Gods grace can save anybody, he saved me! My grandmother had a saying, nobody is better than you and you are no better than anyone else.

One Way

"We have been given 'power' to witness for Christ. We have 'love' to cast out all fear, and we have a sound mind in Christ to faithfully testify the truth of the gospel- that God is holy, that hell is real, and the cross is the only way of escape. -Unknown
The next time you go to share your faith remember, Christ will speak through you. Your right, its hard to witness. When I share my faith I get very nervous every time but that is good. It makes me turn to the Lord instead of trying to do it on my own. We can't make anyone become a Christian but we can tell them the gospel of Jesus Christ and put it in His hands. When you think of where they will go without Christ , that should be motivation enough for you to share your faith.Their is a video going around showing Oprahs belief that there are many ways to get to heaven. This is a very good opportunity for us to share with others by using her as a example. Jesus Christ is the ONLY way. There is no gray area on this subject.
