The world doesn’t believe the Bible, Christians don’t obey the Bible.” - Leonard Ravenhill
This weekend the movie "Fireproof" comes out. We as Christians have the Bible that gives us the instructions and guidance to make it through the fires of life. But if we don't read it, we will be consumed by these fires.
We get comfortable with our lives and think we can handle it all, until God shows us who is really in control. When we have Gods word we can understand why we get burned in this life. It is better to be burned and learn a lesson than to walk into a burning building and not fear the fire and perish.
Remember, If you don't read the Bible, it's just another book. When you open it up and read the words of God, it becomes your life.
Have a blessed day,
Dustin

Live a Life for Christ
Are the things you are living for, worth Christ dying for?- Leonard Ravenhill
We should all ask ourselves what we are living for, or better yet who are we living for. Are we living for ourselves or are we living to serve and praise the Lord that created us? Look at your lives and ask yourself if what you are doing with your life is worth Christ dying for you. We can't ever do enough to repay what Christ did for us, but we can live our lives for Him.
Romans 6:8 (New International Version)8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.

Dirty
God never clothes men until He has first stripped them, nor does He quicken them by the gospel till first they are slain by the Law. When you meet with persons in whom there is no trace of conviction of sin, you may be quite sure that they have not been wrought upon by the Holy Spirit; for 'when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.'" CHARLES SPURGEON
If you have been working in the yard all day in a the hot sun you will be dirty. Your clothes will probably smell and feel nasty. Would you go put on new cloths over your old ones before you go to out on the town. I would say no.
When we are saved by Christ he will strip us of our unrighteousness and clothes use with His righteousness. We first must be cleaned of our filth or the smallest amount of sin will show it's ugly head once again. Christ will clean you of anything but you must go to Him in repentance and put ALL your trust in Him.
God Bless,
Dustin
