Honest

"I hope I shall always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider the most enviable of all titles, the character of a honest man."-George Washington

Isn't it sad in todays time that if someone found a wallet full of money and returned it to the owner they would be put on the news. But people now look at a honest person as someone out of the ordinary. People will do what ever it takes to make a dollar and do not care what they do to get it. I don't care if you are rich or poor you can be honest. If you tell the truth you don't have to worry about covering anything up. God is omnipresent which means he see's you always, and knows every thought that goes through your head. Just because you got something past someone doesnt mean you got away with it. God knows, and you will be held accountable for it one day. Without the saving blood of Jesus Christ you will go to hell for telling just one lie. We are all over the limit on that one. If you are a Christian and living a dishonest life repent and turn your whole life over to Christ and he will forgive you. If you are not a Christian you have no hope without Christ, you will have to answer on judgement day for ALL your sins. Repent from your sins, read the ten commandments to find out what God's law tells you what sin is. Read Matthew 5 to see how Jesus says that even your thoughts can be sin. Then put your trust in Jesus Christ as you Lord and savior and he will forgive you. Read your Bible daily, and look at yourself every day to see if you are walking in God's light or the devils darkness.

Someone else

If, as our proverb puts it, “Charity begins at home,” so should criticism; and criticism concerning character had better stop there. There is so much dirty linen in our own house needing to be washed that none of us need to take in our neighbour’s washing. “Mind your own business,” is a command that might have been spoken by Solomon himself, and the apostle Paul was inspired to write to the Thessalonians, “Study to be quiet, and to do your own business;” and he and Peter very sternly condemned those who were “busybodies in other men’s matters. Charles Spurgeon

It seems like in todays world everybody is worried about what everyone else is doing. It is easy to find something wrong with others but when it comes to ourselves we can't find anything wrong. We should first be concerned with our own home before trying to correct others.
What should concern us the most about others is their walk with Christ. It should be what burdens us the most about people. Where they will spend eternity should be our main concern. If you look at people like that, even your enemy, your attitude will change towards all man.
Remember, a slip of the tongue can last a second, but it may take years for someone to get over.

Bread of Life

We may thrive on the Bread of Life, or starve on the crumbs of this world." unknown We can't have it both ways. We must make a choise in this life to follow Christ or the world. Those who love God must live as he wants them to live. They must not go on sinning; rather, they must love their brothers in Christ not in words but in deeds. We can't just turn our faith on and off when we want to. When you turn your life over to Christ it is all or nothing. You are to work for the Lord 24/7 not just thirty minutes on Sunday morning. You will still fall into sin sometimes but you won't leap into sin if you are a follower of Christ. As a Christian you will love your brothers in Christ, not just the ones that are near you but ALL of them. Anybody can love a friend but can you show love and compassion for the person you dislike the most in this world? That is the true test of your Christian faith

Gosip

Prov. 26:20-2220 For lack of wood a fire goes out.Without gossip, a quarrel dies down. 21 As coals are to hot embers, and wood to fire,so is a contentious man to kindling strife. 22 The words of a whisperer are as dainty morsels, they go down into the innermost partsI was going over my lesson that I am teaching my youth this week and came across this verse. We all should take this one to heart because we all do it every day. If we hear something about someone we run to others as fast as we can to share the gossip as fast as we can, not thinking of how it will affect that person or others. When you hear some gossip on someone, let it end with you. Never be the one that keeps it going. Better yet go to the person that told you and ask them if they will go with you and ask the person if this is true. They will usually not do it. What if we shared Christ like that. If we want to talk , why not talk about Christ. What if we told others about the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, how he saved us from our sins, and without Him we would spend eternity in hell. That sounds like something we should be talk about.

Get even

When we 'get even' with someone, that is literally what we are doing-becoming even with them, that is, descending to their level in vengeance and losing whatever moral advantage we may have had." Sydney J. Harris
Jesus Christ talked to all kinds of people during his ministry on earth. He was mocked, beaten, and killed but he never lifted a hand towards them. He talked to prostitutes, beggars, lepers, and blind people but He stayed the same and they became like Him. Today, be like Christ and let His light shine through you, don't get even because, you never will!
