We often will think we will make someone believe our way of thinking on many things. If they don't we will argue them into submission. This hardly ever works. As I wrote yesterday, we are to do all things in love. If we see someone doing something wrong, we go to them in love and talk to them about it. If I go up to someone who is not a christian and the first thing I say is, your going to hell, we wont get very far. If you start to get in a heated argument with a brother, walk away. It doesn't matter if your right or not, it is better to keep the friendship and share with them at another time than never again. If we become angry with people and them with us, both of you will close yourself off to anything the other has to say. Even if that person is right we won't listen to them, and the same goes for the other person hearing anything we have to say. Be patient with people and never forget to give God time to do his will, we can not hurry him up, remember that.

Love

I could spend all day on this one if I wanted to. I was reading in 1 Corinthians this morning and came across chapter 13. We can have all the knowledge of the Bible, we can quote scripture better than others, and understand all the mysteries of the Bible but if we do not have love, we have nothing. All the others are very important, but without love they are worthless. When we share our faith we should do it out of love for our fellow man. If we believe in Heaven and hell we know the outcome of those who do not believe in Jesus Christ. If you really love your friends, coworkers, family, and even strangers share Christ with them today. Don't share Christ with others to prove them wrong, share Christ with them and God will do it for you. If you go into a conversation just to prove someone wrong you have lost already. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Temptation

If we have something big coming up in our lives we prepare for it. We study for test, look into a project before investing our time or money, or the simple things as getting together a grocery list. We want to be ready so we are at our best when the event comes. But without prayer we are wasting our time. Prayer is the most important thing we do every day as a christian. If we come up on temptation and we are not prepared we can be dragged in very deep. There is a story about a fish that got caught by a fisherman. He was sitting at the bottom of the pond one day when he say a worm floating by. He thought to himself, that looks very good. He got a little closer and thought it might be a trick I better stay away from it, but by now the temptation had become to much for him to resist and he took a bite of the worm and was caught. When did the fish get caught? When the fisherman reeled him in or when he said," That looks good?" We can be caught just as easy in our daily lives by lust, greed, envy, hatred, and many other sins.Prepare your self with prayer for todays challanges, before it is to late.

All People

1 Corinthians 9:19-22 19Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law. 22To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some.
When we look at this world and the people in it we play favors. We are more likely to talk to people that look, talk, and act like us. But when we think about people in the way God see's us, we are all alike. If we would treat people with their souls in mind we would care for all man the same way.
As Paul writes in the verse above we are to be true to Christ but be all things to all men so that by all means we might save some.

I Can

We are not all preachers, most of us can't even pronounce the big words in the Bible. But if you believe what you say about Christ, people will see him in you. You don't have to talk over someones head to explain the gospel. Tell them what Christ has done in your life and explain why they need a savior, if you believe what you say they will see it shine from you. It's not the size of the bullet that counts, it's the power behind it.This is a video that I saw last week that really got me thinking about the times I have said I can't do something. How silly it is for me to complain about stupid stuff when others are giving their all. The father in this video should be an example to all of us and a reminder that God love for us is beyond measure.
