Leftovers

As I was finishing Exodus this morning, I came across another verse that stood out. As Moses told Israel to give to the tabernacle, God tells us to give to His kingdom. They gave so much that Moses had to tell them to stop giving. In today's time it is just the opposite. The preacher has to beg and plead with the people of the church to give to Gods kingdom with their time or money. When people do give they give the leftovers. God tells us to put Him first in our lives but so many times we give Him our time or money only if we have some left after doing the things we want to do.
Exodus 36:6-7
6 So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, “Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary.” And the people were restrained from bringing, 7 for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done—indeed too much.

Strenth

I have been reading through the book of Exodus this month and came across a few verses that I would like to share.
Exodus 33:11 So the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend.
Exodus 33:14 And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
God is not far off in heaven , He is with us always. He will not forsake us or leave us, He paid too big of a price to do that. When we think we have come to an impossible task in life I ask you to remember this verse.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ[a] who strengthens me.
God bless,
Dustin

Instuctions

"It is not our business to make the message acceptable, but to make it available. We are not to see that they like it, but that they get it." - Dr. Vance Havner
People do not want to hear that Christ is the only way, that they are sinners in need of a savior, or that they should focus only on Christ and not the world. Don't bow down to please man, but please God in all that you do and say.
What if you were given two sets of instructions on how to put a swing set together. Would you want the correct set or the one that leaves out the parts you don't want to do? We are to give the true instructions of the gospel, and hope and pray that they come to the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
