The longer you stop in an evil place, the more numerous will your temptations become. Temptations are like flies: they come one or two at the first, but by-and-by they buzz about you in swarms.CHARLES SPURGEON
It is not if we will be tempted but what we do when we are tempted. God says He will not let us be tempted beyond what we can handle. That means that in every situation that we get in there is a way out. The longer we hang around though, the tougher it will be to leave the object that is tempting us.
If you know certain things that tempt you don't go near them. The beginning of temptatin is not the start of the act but the thought of it. When something comes across your mind, that is the real battle. It is better to put out a camp fire than let it become a forest fire and then try to put it out.
Some people always say trouble follows them. In most cases they follow trouble. Don't go where you shouldn't go, stay away from things and people that seem to get you into trouble. Most of all, keep Christ as your main focuss in all that you do. We can't fight this battle alone, without Christ it is impossible.
1 Corinthians 10:13 (New King James Version)13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Imitate God
It is a great fault in professing Christians, that they do not more earnestly strive to imitate Christ . . . in love, in gentleness, in tenderness of heart, in submission to the will of God, in zeal for the divine glory, in self-abnegation, in silence under unjust reproaches, in all His imitable virtues. The highest honor which we can render to the Lord Jesus--is honestly and earnestly to pray and labor to be like Him.
These are not my words but I could not have said it better.

Go to church
God has, in great mercy, given us a day, one day in seven, wherein to rest, and to think of holy things. There were seven days that God had in the week. He said, “Take six, and use them in your business.” No, we must have the seventh as well. It is as if one, upon the road, saw a poor man in distress, and having but seven shillings, the generous person gave the poor man six; but when the wretch had scrambled on his feet, he followed his benefactor to knock him down, and steal the seventh shilling from him. How many do this! The Sabbath is their day for sport, for amusement, for anything but the service of God. They rob God of his day, though it be but one in seven. This is base unthankfulness. CHARLES SPURGEON Has someone told you lately that you take Christianity to serious? Have you been called a "Jesus Freak", or maybe something else just because you follow Christ the way the Bible tells you to. The sad thing about what I just said is that people that call themselves Christians will call you this, it has happened to me. I can't be anything less. The next time someone gives you a hard time about doing God's work, thank God. If you go by Gods word, you will be in the right. There is nothing else to go by. We should all ask ourselves daily if:We read our Bibles daily, We pray to our Lord daily, We go to church weekly,We walk in the ways of the Lord DAILY,We Deni the world daily,We stand up for Christ daily,We share Christ with others daily. Being a Christian is 24/7. You don't get days off!
James 1:21-25 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
21 Therefore, ridding yourselves of all moral filth and evil excess, humbly receive the implanted word, which is able to save you. (A) [a]
22 But (B) be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his own face [b] in a mirror; 24 for he looks at himself, goes away, and right away forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer who acts—this person will be blessed in what he does.
