'When you flee from temptation, be sure you do not leave a forwarding address behind.'
I do not know who wrote this one but it says a lot in one sentence. We all have done it, say we are going to stop doing something but leave just a little bit of sin in our lives. You can't have it both ways when it comes to turning your life over to Christ. When it comes to Christ, it is all or nothing.Today, take out the pair of scissors called repentance and cut loose that string that is tying you to your sins. Give Christ your all so He may bless you with His all.James 1:12 12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.God bless,Dustin

God,s Name
They blaspheme You; Your enemies take Your name in vain.' Psalm 139:20The hearts of those who fear God are wounded, and their ears are stunned by multitudes, who, on all occasions, take His holy and sacred name in vain, and call for damnation on their own souls! Our streets, our roads, and all our public places are crowded with these diabolical monsters in the shape of men, who seem to have studied the language of the bottomless pit! 'Do not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, because the Lord will punish anyone who takes His name in vain!' Exodus 20:7
As most of you hear everyday, people take the Lord's name in vain. They use it as a four letter curse work over and over again. The same people that say these horrible words will turn right around and talk about what they did at church last week.
People praise God on Sunday and run His name through the mud the rest of the week, what is wrong with that? They have become so accustomed to saying it that they don't even realize what they are doing sometimes.
These are a few things that I do when I hear Gods name used in vain.
1. Ask the person why they think God should damn the someone or something they are talking about? You will get the deer in the headlight look when you say this. As I said before they won't even realize what they are doing until you bring it to their attention.
2. Another way of putting it is, ask them to put their mothers name in place of Gods name. That will open their eye's even more. When we use the God's name like that we show how much we think of Him.
Just about every time I call someone on it they stop cursing around me at least, maybe they do it everywhere else also. It is not me they will have to answer to but God himself one day. I just try to inform them of His word. Stand up for Christ, He died for you!
When people tell God to damn something they better make sure they are not damned themselves!

Dustin

Little Things
'There are many of us willing to do great things for the Lord; but few of us are willing to do little things.' D.L. MOODY
We have our own ideas of what things we should do for the Lord. We are all guilty of wanting to have others see how much we do for the Lord sometimes. We want learn more, not to glorify God but that others may see how much we know. What does God consider to be great thing? Should all of us become preachers, or theology professors? Maybe become a evangelist like Billy Graham or anything else that may be seen by many. All these things are great for some but they are not any more important than what God wants you to do. What about your neighbor that does not know Christ? We know people that are in pain from losing loved ones or others who have health problems and need hope. People that have lost jobs, having problems with their marriages, a kid that does not have any good adult models. Be a shoulder for someone to cry on or a person others can talk to. What we think may not be important may be the greatest thing in Gods eye's.Matthew 6:16-1816 “Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 18 so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly

Decision
'We make our decisions, and then our decisions turn around and make us.' F. W. Boreham
Each of us will make decisions today that will affect our lives. Some may be good decisions, others may be bad but we will have to live with them. We should put Christ in every decision that we make, little or small we should go to Him in prayer. When we try to do anything on our own we will fail but with Christ we will succeed if it be His will. If you are not walking in the faith or you have not come to know the saving Grace of Jesus Christ, you have a very important decision to make today. You can keep walking in the ways of the world and live your life however you want, or surrender yourself to Christ, repent from your sins and live your life for the one that died for you. Your decision today, we may not have a tomorrow. Romans 12: 1-21 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

CHURCH WORK
I heard a preacher on the radio talking about people not helping at his church , his is the analogy he gave. The church of today is like a football game. You have 60,000 people that need to get into shape, watching 24 players that need to rest. Just like in sports you have Monday morning quarterbacks saying how they would have done it different or if they were in the game they could have made the wining play. Is your church like this? Are just a few people doing all the work and the rest of them complaining about nothing getting done. What if every member in a church had at least two jobs in the church? Think of what the church could do with too many workers, wow what a thought!People will say, I don't have the time to help. They are saying, the worldly things in my life are more important than helping my church show the light of Christ. Today, ask yourself this question, am I doing my part to help the church or am I one of the 60,000 watching the 24 do all the work. Don't just be a member of a church, be a part of the church.
